Subdividing Your Claims
Subdividing your claim has many benefits, including letting other players build in specific places, while protecting the rest of your claim. This is very useful for towns with many trusted residents.
Materials Needed
- An existing claim
- A golden shovel
Steps to Take
- First hold your golden shovel
- Then put your shovel into subdivision mode by typing /subdivideclaim
- Now right click the shovel at one corner of the area you want to subdivide, and again at the opposite corner (just like making a new claim)
- You can do this as many times as you like, subdivision can be as big or small as you want.
Note: Subdiving your claim does not use any additional claimblocks
Now What?
- When you have a claim subdivided, you stand inside of the subdivision and use /trust, /accesstrust, /containertrust or /permissiontrust just as if you were trusting someone in a normal claim.
- If you trust someone in one of your subdivisions, they will only have trust in that subdivision.
- If you want to trust someone in the main claim you can stand outside the subdivided claim and use /trust, this will make it so the player is trusted everywhere in the main claim but not the subdivisions.
Removing a Subdivision
- To remove a subdivision, stand inside the subdivided claim and type /abandonclaim as you would normally.
You are unable to unclaim your main claim while it has subdivisions with /abandonclaim. If you want to unclaim the main claim, the command changes to /abandontoplevelclaim which unclaims the main claim and all subdivisions.
